**Google-InspectionTool** ist ein Google-Crawler, der bei Testwerkzeugen der Suche zum Einsatz kommt, zum Beispiel beim Rich-Results-Test und bei der URL-Prüfung in der Search Console. Auf die Google Suche und andere Google-Produkte hat er laut Google keinen Einfluss.

## Wofür wird er genutzt?

Wenn jemand in der Search Console eine URL live testet, ruft das Tool die Seite ab und rendert sie. Das Ergebnis zeigt, wie Google die Seite sieht. In der URL-Prüfung steht im Feld „Gecrawlt über“, ob dabei die Mobil- oder die Desktop-Variante verwendet wurde.

Als robots.txt-Token nennt Google `Google-InspectionTool` oder `Googlebot`. Es gibt zwei User-Agents:

## In Logfiles

Anfragen mit diesem User-Agent gehen auf manuelle Tests zurück, die jemand mit Zugang zur Search Console oder zum Testwerkzeug ausgelöst hat. Sie gehören nicht zum laufenden Crawling des Googlebots und sollten in Logfile-Auswertungen getrennt betrachtet werden (Einschätzung).
