# Carousel rich result

A **carousel rich result** is a Google Search feature in which several entries from one site appear as cards that users can swipe through. It is created with `ItemList` structured data.

## How is it set up?

Google's documentation names four supported content types: course lists, movies, recipes and restaurants. The `ItemList` needs an `itemListElement` with at least two `ListItem` entries, and all items must be of the same type.

There are two models. A summary page lists the items briefly and points to detail pages on the same domain, each with full structured data. An all-in-one page contains everything and links to anchors on the same page. Every `ListItem` needs a `position` starting at 1 and a canonical `url`; the all-in-one model also needs `item`.

The main carousel guide is not marked as beta. A separate Google page, "Structured data carousels (beta)", covers a beta version that Google says is available only in the European Economic Area, Türkiye and South Africa, for queries such as hotels, local businesses, things to do and products. It also uses `ItemList` markup (documentation last updated September 2026).
