**Page experience** is Google's term for the signals that show how pleasant a page is for visitors. The entry covers the meaning in Google Search.

## What belongs to page experience?

Google's documentation lists several aspects: good Core Web Vitals, secure delivery over HTTPS, usability on mobile devices, no excessive ads, no intrusive interstitials, and a clear distinction between main content and other content.

## Is page experience a ranking factor?

Google says: "There is no single signal. Our core ranking systems look at a variety of signals that align with overall page experience." It adds that Search shows the most relevant content even if the page experience is poor, but that for many queries a great page experience can contribute to success. Good Core Web Vitals do not guarantee a top position.

## Which Core Web Vitals apply today?

LCP (2.5 seconds), INP (200 milliseconds) and CLS (0.1). web.dev recommends the 75th percentile of page loads, split by mobile and desktop.

## Example

A shop is served over HTTPS and has good LCP and CLS values, but a banner covers the content after loading. One aspect of its page experience needs work, and no single score decides the outcome.
