# SEO and GEO Glossary

> Bilingual glossary (German and English) with 792 terms on SEO and GEO: search engine basics, crawling, indexing, rendering, structured data, performance, AI search, AI bots and agent protocols. A project of searchVIU (https://www.searchviu.com/).

Every entry has a short definition, an explanation, usually an example, and a list of sources. Every term page has a Markdown version at the same URL with `index.md` appended (e.g. https://seo-geo-glossary.com/en/glossary/hreflang/index.md). Each German entry has an English counterpart (hreflang).

Each entry shows the date it was last updated. Entries marked "historical" describe retired techniques or past events. Entries on legal topics name the law and are not legal advice. Terms are grouped into categories and subcategories (topics).
