Recipe schema is structured data that describes a cooking recipe, such as ingredients, times and instructions. Google can show it as a rich result in Search and as a recipe badge in Google Images.

What does Google require?
Google requires image and name. Recommended properties include recipeIngredient, recipeInstructions, prepTime, cookTime, totalTime, aggregateRating, nutrition.calories and author. Images should be offered in several aspect ratios (16x9, 4x3, 1x1) with at least 50,000 pixels.
The content has to be an actual dish with a cooking procedure. Google names a facial scrub and party ideas as invalid recipe subjects. A recipe host carousel needs ItemList markup and a summary page that lists the recipes.
In schema.org, Recipe is a subtype of HowTo.
Example
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
"@context": "https://schema.org",
"@type": "Recipe",
"name": "Potato soup",
"image": "https://example.com/soup.jpg",
"recipeIngredient": ["500 g potatoes", "1 onion", "1 l vegetable stock"],
"totalTime": "PT40M"
}
</script>
