Shipping details markup

Also known as: OfferShippingDetails, ShippingService

Shipping details markup is structured data that states shipping costs, delivery times and destinations in a machine-readable way. Google supports OfferShippingDetails on a product’s offer and ShippingService on the organization.

How does shipping details markup work?

OfferShippingDetails sits on the Offer and holds the terms for a specific product. Google requires shippingRate, shippingDestination and deliveryTime. The rate is given as a monetary amount with a currency.

ShippingService describes the standard shipping policy for most products. It is nested in the Organization type through hasShippingService and belongs on a single page that describes the shipping policy. Its only mandatory property is shippingConditions, which defines cost or delivery time for conditions like weight, order value or destination.

If shipping is defined in several places, Google applies this order, strongest first: the Content API for Shopping, settings in Merchant Center or Search Console, product-level markup, then organization-level markup. Google states that settings in Search Console take precedence over markup.
