Merchant listings are Google Search experiences for products that shoppers can buy directly on a page. They show details like price, availability and shipping in places such as shopping knowledge panels, popular products results and Google Images.
How do they differ from product snippets?
Merchant listings require an actual Offer from the seller (an AggregateOffer alone is not enough), a price above zero, and a page where the product can be purchased. Product snippets also work for review or comparison pages.
Required properties are name, image and offers with price and priceCurrency (a three-letter ISO 4217 code). Google also recommends availability, shippingDetails, hasMerchantReturnPolicy and product identifiers such as SKU, GTIN and MPN. Structured data and a Merchant Center feed can be combined.
Example
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
"@context": "https://schema.org",
"@type": "Product",
"name": "Trail running shoe",
"image": "https://example.com/shoe.jpg",
"offers": { "@type": "Offer", "price": "89.90", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock" }
}
</script>
